Port Alberni's Donut Shop has taken the ranking out of your hands and made a rather bold claim: they have the best doughnuts on Vancouver Island. And do they? Well, no. The best doughnuts on the island for me came from Tofino, but they were still pretty good. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

Awesome donuts

Hidden gem on the island, they definitely deserve more attention. High quality and insanely low prices. Basically, impossible not to binge.

Delicious local in-house made donuts. Lots of variety to choose from. Sometimes you get lucky and there are day- old donuts for a reduced price!

Used to frequent this donut shop 25 years ago with my grandfather, everyday without fail - such a regular as he was, im happy to see his picture is still up on the wall, as well as all the other Alberni locals everyone knew. Best donuts ive ever had, I hope this landmark lasts forever because everyone needs to have a coffee and donut at this place at some point, for being the epitome of a small town coffee shop, as good as it gets.

Awesome! Fresh! Simple, circular donuts on a conveyor system constantly rolling out and then hand-dipped in the toppings. Donuts in the display case were still soft & warm. 3-5 minute wait with the line-up of people. A definite dessert must have.

The donuts are always freshly made every day. There are soooo many toppings to choose from. Sometimes, I am lucky to get there when a fresh batch has been made. They are sooooo delicious!! 😁😋😛

Amazing Mini Doughnuts on sat mornings! We enjoy the fresh doughnuts here and they have a great selection, but try to get there in the morning as this place is popular and your selection will be limited later in the day. Their hours are good and the staff is very friendly and patient.

They have the best doughnuts I have ever tasted!

Fresh cake donuts. Fluffy and not greasy. Maple pecan was to die for, I went back ten minutes later for a second round. Owner was friendly and knew a lot about donuts. A customer filled me in with the history of the shop. Price point is unbeatable compared to big city donut shops. Add this to your list folks.

We saw this spot when we stopped for lunch nearby. The donuts are AMAZING! I really wish we had bought more. We will definitely be picking more up on the way back through town. Chocolate glaze is where it's at!

Tasty donuts! Fun little shop within the beautiful harbour. Can’t say they are the best I’ve tried but they are pretty darn good.

The place to get good donuts in Port Alberni

Walking in, greeted by an actual baked goods smell, not a scent pot. Also greeted by an actual smiling human :) Served swiftly and then the total, shockingly little. Tasted great! Will surely be back

They claim to have the best donuts on Vancouver Island. They gave me to reason to argue the point. Very tasty. Even the day old ones were orders of magnitude better than Tim's or whatever you'd call a typical donut.
